678 Korean BBQ Restaurant

This is the filthiest restaurant I’ve been to in not only Sydney, but I’d say Australia. You get a free drink if you leave a 5 star review, so that explains the reviews. The walls, and floors were so dirty. Dirty is an understatement, and so is filthy. The whole restaurant inside was so old too and it was so off putting. There was mops lying around with buckets. I don’t know how this place stays open. I can’t even imagine what the kitchens would be like if the staff let the restaurant be so dirty. The food was overpriced, and just bland. Even the marinated meats were just dull. Definitely not worth the price, the meat were cheap cuts compared to other Korean bbqs that are similarly priced and cheaper. The toilets were graffitied and so dirty, never been cleaned. The 1 urinal covered in cardboard as it wasn’t working, so lining up to use the 1 dirty toilet awkwardly positioned behind a door. Horrific. Others suggested pissing in the sink while waiting, I wouldn’t be surprised if people do that. I can’t believe I stayed but was a work event which we all regrettably dealt with and left quickly. It was the office talk about how the organiser was conned by all the 5 star reviews. Disappointing night, and felt sick afterwards too after coming home. Didn’t even eat that much meat either.

Been here about 4-5 times now, realised that it’s very overpriced and the quality isn’t there to back it up. The food here is just ok, but they are charging heaps for value they aren’t providing. I don’t walk away feeling like the price is justified, but service is ok here they just need to make it worth the price through quality. Probably won’t be back.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this time I feel I have to. The food was average and nothing stood out, it was no different from other BBQ places I’ve been to. I honestly expected more with this price. What really disappointed me was the service, this was my first time at a BBQ restaurant where the staff didn’t proactively change the grill, even when it was completely burnt black. After we finished grilling, the marinated meat plates were left on our table, cluttering the space, and no one came to clear them away. The staff kept walking past our table but paid no attention at all. Their attitude was careless and unprofessional. Are customers expected to call staff for every basic responsibility? I honestly felt like I was being treated as if I were eating for free, despite having paid. Paying for this level of service felt insulting. I will not be returning, and I would strongly advise others to spend their money elsewhere.

Great spot for a casual night out. The drinks menu is solid—nice mix of Korean classics like soju and Korean beer, dishes are flavourful and come out well-presented, especially the grilled meats and sides. Atmosphere is lively without being too noisy, making it good for both small groups and chill catch-ups.
