A Happy Pancake Shinsaibashi

We came at 10:00, and there was already a line outside! So come early and don’t forget to get your ticket downstairs. We waited about 1 hour, plus another 30 minutes for the food to arrive. We normally don’t wait that long, but it’s one of the rare places you can visit with more than 2 people, haha. The food was definitely very good – we had the tiramisu version, and they brought an espresso on the side. Since I don’t like coffee, my husband enjoyed it, haha. The pancakes were fluffy, fresh, and very tasty! I can recommend it, but I’m not sure if the hours of waiting are REALLY worth it!

Arrived at 10am there was no line yet, but we got to make a reservation on a tablet infront of the store! We got a number and were told to come back at 11. There’s plenty to do around while you wait so that was perfect. The pancakes were gorgeous, did taste heavily of egg so be prepared. Other than that an enjoyable experience if you’d like to try them! We got the chocolate granola & the chocolate banana

Some of the fluffiest pancakes I've ever eaten! Everything on the menu is delectable. The tiramisu pancakes were my favorite. The service is prompt and attentive. It is a very popular destination and can have long wait times. Make sure to get a reservation placed early to beat the rush.

This is a very popular restaurant. Reservation is recommended. I wouldn't do this again, it's only a fluffy pancake! (the wait) The wait can be up to 2 hours, so either wait until after the rush or come early. Brunch is better. Alternatively, arrive at 10:30; their information was wrong on Google. We showed up at 10, but they didn’t open until 11, so we had to wait 1.5 hours just to get in. It’s a charming place, very quaint, and the pancakes are lovely. They frown on sharing, so be prepared for that attitude. Order a coffee or something to pass the time.

I was so excited to visit Happy Pancake to try the Soufflé pancakes and I was not disappointed. There is a clear ticketing system we arrived just after opening and waited for 50 minutes. I would suggest arriving before opening to make sure you are in the first sitting. It’s an open kitchen so you can watch the pancakes being made. They tasted good but be warned you will feel sick by the end!
