Had an amazing night here last night with my sister. It was really busy so highly recommend a reservation like we did. We had the pan fried chicken gyoza, bulogi in the bbq, copious amount of soju; there were many options from grape, apple, strawberry, peach etc, jasmine tea, fried prawns and soy garlic chicken. Not all pictured as we were just having a lovely time and did several re orders. Staff were lovely and attentive considering one was left on their own with a lot of people to be served but he was still so kind and helpful so kudos to the staff! Definitely will be back

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would! Not only were the prices already on the cheaper side for the food quality and consindering its in central London, the staff was so nice, they gave us free miso soup and mochi for desserts! Truly a wonderful place that deserves all the hype! The food was incredibly delicious, and the portions are very generous. If you like Kpop this place is a must visit, as they had it as background music☺️ If you happen to be near China Town, please do give this place a go- incredibly tasty Asian food, large portions, decently priced, and staff so sweet and welcoming, dining here feels like eating at home.

I've been at many korean BBQ places both in and out of London, and this one is definitely tied for the top of my list. We went for the special bulgogi, which was excellent. I'd say it's a very good amount of food for two, and the dish is served with a different style of grill than the other bbq options on the menu that mixes the meat juices with a broth and various vegetables. We were also served with a portion of korean fried chicken on the house, which I probably would not have ordered, but will absolutely do so next time. It had a great sauce and a slight crunch to it. I have unfortunately forgotten the name of our server, but she patiently explained how various things are intended to be eaten and even helped us grilling the food. I could not have asked for better service. This restaurant will be a must-visit for me next time I'm in town.

One of my favourite Korean restaurants in the UK. I first visited in 2016 and it’s been consistently fresh and delicious ever since, with very reasonable prices. I especially love the beef bone marrow soup, grilled pork belly, and cheesy tteokbokki. Great option to have the BBQ cooked for you or grill it yourself. Came back again today and it still feels like a casual spot in Seoul. Friendly service too ,highly recommended!

Arang is located on Golden Square, a short walk from Piccadilly Circus, right in the heart of Soho. It’s a ground-floor restaurant up a couple of steps. The interior feels rather dated, with faux marble wall panels, a bar immediately on the left as you enter, and tables further inside. The bathrooms are downstairs and also quite dated. The menu is extensive and reasonably priced, with wine markups around twice retail value. Service was reasonably attentive. Complimentary kimchi, radish, and bean sprouts were a nice touch. Some tables have built-in hotpot heaters, which is a fun feature. What we ordered • Malbec Punto Alto Proemio – £32 • Kimchijeon (김치전) – £16.50 • Chicken Wing Twigim (닭날개튀김) – £15.50 • Bulgogi Deopbap (불고기덮밥) – £17.50 • Mushroom & Vegetable Stir-Fry (버섯야채볶음) – £15.90 Food • Kimchijeon — tasty but overly oily; it would have benefited from resting on paper before serving. • Bulgogi deopbap — decent, with reasonably tender beef. • Mushroom & vegetable stir-fry — above average. • Korean-style chicken wings — reasonably good; the batter wasn’t too thick, and the finger gloves were a nice touch, although handwashing was still needed afterward. Overall Very good value for money and well-priced for central London. A solid, affordable Korean option in a prime Soho location, despite the dated décor.
