Groceries in Toronto.
What locals say
a huge Asian supermarket with an impressive selection of products. You can find a wide range of snacks, groceries, and specialty items from different Asian countries all in one place. One of the biggest advantages is that it’s open 24 hours, which makes it very convenient for late-night shopping. The store is well stocked and has great variety. Just be prepared for busy parking on weekends, as it can get quite crowded.
So after going to Foody Mart and Foody World (still have to go to "FoodyMart supermarket" if the names aren't confusing enough), I'm starting to see a pattern of similarities. Are they all owned by the same people? Probably. Could i have researched this? Sure. But eithor way, you'll find the same thing here that you do there: a MASSIVE aircraft craft hanger sized grocery story with SO much visually appealying layout and design! The cake wall and "snack village" alone are reason to check this place out, but also, while most Japanese / Chinese / Korean groceries may have 1 or 2 drink ailes, this place has, like... 5000! There's just always another section of bottled & canned teas, coffees, sodas, milk drinks, etc. Anyway, if you're in the Pacific Mall area, make the trip down here. It's worth it! Oh, and apparently it's open 24 hours, AND has a Chatime bubble tea in it, so... that's cool if you live in the area or are crossing the city crazy late.
ASIA FOODMART in Scarborough is one of the best places for a full grocery run. The variety is impressive, with a wide range of imported items that are genuinely useful for Asian communities. The name fits well—it really does feel like a mini Asia under one roof. Being open 24 hours is a big plus. We went in without planning to buy anything and still ended up leaving with groceries and hard-to-find items. That alone says a lot about the selection. The meat and seafood section deserves special mention—it’s huge and one of the best I’ve seen. Overall, this place is a must-visit, whether you’re Asian or just looking for diverse, quality grocery options. Great store, will definitely be back. Wish there was one like this in Mississauga.
One of my favourite Asian supermarkets. I’d always make the trip here even though it’s quite far from me. Some items can be a little pricier when they’re not on sale, but usually only by a few dollars/cents, probably because they’re open 24/7. They also stock products I found in Japan that I don’t usually see in other Asian stores, plus they even carry Royce chocolates. The place is massive. I love going on Saturday mornings because there are so many samples to try before you buy. I even discovered a bun and coffee I never would’ve picked up otherwise just from trying the samples first. It honestly feels like an Asian Costco. The skincare, haircare, and makeup section is huge with such a good selection..it’s like heaven for me. And when things go on sale, the prices are actually really good.
An Asian must go-to Grocery store in Scarborough. This spacious, well- organized and colourful store is a one stop facility for an impressive collection of fresh fruits and vegetables, meat and seafood, cakes, sauces, snacks, skincare items and many specialty for Asians. The meat and seafood section with butcher services is huge, organized and having good sanitary conditions. The main grocery sections are very well decorated and maintained, having proper labelling and easy-to-find shelving. They have Chatime in side the store along with cake and pastries area, hot food like sushi, bbqs for take out and dine in. The parking lot could be a little tight at times. Most importantly it is a 24x7 grocery store.
