Beverly Hot Springs

As a long time customer, I am incredibly disappointed in the way the owner, Eddie and other staff handled a simple situation. I made an appt and they made an error in charging me an entry fee when I had booked a service (no entry fee is charged when you book a service). It took over 6 weeks for someone to even respond to my multiple emails and calls. And they came back refusing to acknowledge their error and claiming that I had missed an appointment date which I had never made. So sad to have lost a customer over this.

I love this place. Everyone that works here has been very sweet. It’s one of the great jewels of the city - a true thermal hot spring from over 2000 feet under Los Angeles. The hot springs are peaceful & in a cave with a beautiful Buddhist shrine. The place is impeccably clean, the towels are always clean & the staff is overly accommodating.

Avoid Going I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience. This place felt dirty and unsanitary, and honestly it should receive a proper health and safety inspection. The mineral spa was clearly not clean. You could feel it just by sitting in the water, and there were black residues floating around (hard to see at first because the spa area is so dark). I also saw a cockroach, which made me decide not to step back into the spa facilities. When it was time for my treatment (body care), I initially tried to decline because I already felt uncomfortable with the environment . However, the person providing the treatment was very pushy and kept trying to convince me it would be relaxing and that the products were high quality. I ended up going through with the treatment. Unfortunately, the products used felt very poor in quality. The service was provided in a small stall (it honestly felt like jail) that looked poorly maintained and was very uncomfortable. While the treatment technique itself was acceptable, the overall environment and experience were terrible. I cannot recommend this place. The visit was more stressful than relaxing, and I left feeling uncomfortable and wanting to shower at home as soon as possible.

Recommended Beverly Hot Springs to a client couple relocating from New York after closing on a property in Hancock Park. They loved it — the natural hot mineral springs are genuinely therapeutic and the Korean spa experience is unlike anything else in LA. The facilities are well-maintained and the treatments are excellent value for the quality. It has been a neighborhood institution for decades and perfectly reflects the eclectic, health-conscious culture of the mid-city area. A wonderful discovery for new residents exploring the neighborhood.

Pretty good but with a little finesse it could be 5 stars. Massage was great but in the spa area there were just some things that if improved could put a more luxury vibe to the spot. Locker room clean but nothing but benches. Add some nicer seats and an infused water dispenser would be a big improvement. The showers are fine but the dispensers for soap and things are just big 1 gallon with a pump on top, but if there was a nicer dispenser or even a smaller container. Even the men’s shaving area just needs a little more to it and the experience would elevate. Just needs a little more put into it. Also the main sling water spa was only half full which seemed really weird.
