Merci beaucoup pour les kakigoris très beaux et très délicieux. 😊 6 seats in the little shop, advance reservation recommended. It was hard to decide among the seasonal flavours, but we had the fig and pistachio. Both were really good, many layers of textures. Kakigori is carefully made in front of you by the lady owner. Really enjoyed our shaved ice dessert on a hot summer's day. ^^

The owner was a great host. The seasonal pear kakigori was the most delicious I've ever had - and I've had my fair share of kakigori. The fresh pear, fresh pear syrup, and jelly was very cohesive. The atmosphere was welcoming and it felt like a personal experience with the owner crafting the dessert in front of you.

The best kakigori I’ve ever had, carefully made with love by the sweetest lady who loves her job and treats it like a craft! We went before closing and didn’t have to make a reservation, but I would call ahead to ask. Yukari is so kind and caring, seen in the way she delicately prepares the kakigori from scratch right in front of you, and in all the details of her store. It was such a unique experience for my family and I, it felt like a kakigori omakase and a private dining experience which was the highlight of our trip! Most flavours are seasonal and we tried everything on her menu, we loved the mango, strawberry, banana salted caramel, and also the sakura sake and sakura mugwort flavours!

The menu has special flavors that rotate everyday, with the daily choices being posted on their Instagram. Everything tasted so good, and was made almost completely from scratch by one person.

Wow. The Kakigori (shaved ice) at the Parisian-themed Bonne Journée in Dotonbori is the best l've ever had. In fact, this Kakigori was so good that we had to come back the next day to have it again before leaving Osaka. The shop is run by one elegant woman who uses fresh, high-quality ingredients to make truly impeccable shaved ice. The ice itself is fluffy yet firm, providing an enjoyable texture experience. It seems the base of each Kakigori is milk syrup, and from there the unique flavors and ingredients are added. The portions are very generous. Inside the shop plays classic French music. Notes on the flavors we tried: - Rare Cheese > The name might throw you off at first, but this refers to "rare cheesecake" which is basically cheesecake and citrus/lemon flavor. I didn't know this until after I ordered and decided to look into what "rare cheese" actually meant, but was so pleasantly surprised! Inside the Kakigori were chestnuts, ripe strawberries, and pieces of butter cookies. This was probably my favorite of the 4 flavors we had. Refreshing, depth of flavor, textural variety, refined. - Amazake Strawberry > Amazake (sweet sake) strawberry ice, one side is strawberry, one side is amazake. This Kakigori was filled with delicious strawberries, mochi, and a spoonful of ginger ale jelly that balanced the flavors and made the Kakigori more interesting. - Sakura Anmitsu > The perfect Kakigori to ring in Spring, flavored with sakura and filled with wagashi like mochi, yomogimochi, tsubuan paste, kinako, and black mitsu. Complete with a sakura and sakura espuma on top, this Kakigori looked as beautiful as it tasted. A truly refined dessert. - Blood Orange > I change my mind, this might've been my favorite. Mind you, I'm not really a citrus lover, but this Kakigori really blew my mind. Topped with a blood orange slice and yogurt espuma - filled with blood orange confit, blood orange slices, and blood orange peel, this Kakigori surpassed any expectations I could've had. So absolutely impressed by this shop and this particular Kakigori. *The menu is updated/changes daily.
