perfect for a relaxing afternoon. The atmosphere is very quiet and comfortable. When you walk in, there are cute display models of all the pastries and desserts on the left side, which makes it easy (and fun) to pick what you want. We ordered the Korean Special set, which comes with a variety of desserts and hot tea. It’s perfect for a date or catching up with friends—one set is enough to sit and enjoy for a whole afternoon while chatting, drinking tea, and trying different sweets. There’s also a huge floor-to-ceiling window with a nice view outside. I can imagine it being even prettier in the summer, and it’s definitely a great photo spot. For drinks, we got a hot coffee latte and the matcha crème brûlée. The matcha and milk flavors blend really well, and the caramelized sugar layer on top makes it perfect if you like sweeter desserts. We also ordered the chocolate soufflé, which is baked fresh and smells amazing. It’s warm and comforting—great for brunch or afternoon tea, especially in winter. They also have many other options like scones and different pastries. So many choices and everything looks tempting. Highly recommend! ⭐️

This dessert spot is super cute and well themed. It was also super crowded when we arrived. We came around 1:30 pm on a Saturday. We managed to snag three seats by the bar right by the front door, but it was definitely hard to find seating at this time. Also, I would recommend you speak to the waitstaff behind the dessert counter first before sitting down. There is a digital menu to order from, but seating seems to be controlled by the staff. We ordered from the digital menu and got a mandarin orange ade, a strawberry matcha milk, and a matcha fromage. I ordered the strawberry matcha milk with oat milk, and it tasted amazing. The server recommended we stir it well, and I would second that advice given the strawberry flavoring really sits at the bottom and tastes better mixed in throughout. The fromage we ordered had a dusting of matcha powder on top and chestnuts mixed in with the cream between the layers of cake. The cake is the perfect size shared between three people. The black bread fluffs were also slightly salty, so the entire cake was a beautiful medley of flavors. I would highly recommend this dessert shop to try! I understand the prices are slightly on the more expensive side, but it was nonetheless a good tasting experience. The upstairs is currently undergoing renovation, so the cafe is definitely facing some over crowding, but it just means we are extremely excited for when the upstairs eventually does open up!

This was my second visit to Cheongsudang, and it was just as amazing as the first time. The food is absolutely delicious, and everyone is so kind and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back again. My husband is a total foodie with high standards, and he said the Dubai Chewy Cookie here is the best he’s ever had 😂 We went around 1 PM today and it wasn’t crowded at all, which made the experience even better. The Saturday before last was pretty busy, and we felt a little rushed because of the crowd. But today we were able to relax and truly enjoy everything at our own pace. Highly recommend!

Finally checked out Cheongsu in Fort Lee for a weekend date. The Korean Special weekday set is a really good deal. It comes with tea and a selection of pastries and traditional Korean sweets. Everything was beautifully plated. The berry jelly dessert was especially refreshing. The Matcha Fromage looked like a piece of art. The outer shell isn’t edible, but the cake itself isn’t overly sweet and has a nice matcha flavor. The Perilla Hoji Financier was actually my favorite — super fragrant and balanced. The Nuts Yakgwa was sweet and chewy with lots of crushed nuts on the outside. We also got oat milk lattes (one hot, one iced) and both were surprisingly good. Great spot for dates or afternoon coffee. I’d recommend going on a weekday for the special set and fewer crowds.

ervous it would be super busy since they don't take reservations but there was plenty of space when we arrived at around 11:30 on a Sunday. The staff was welcoming and led us to order from the screens. The hardest part was deciding what to try. We ended up sharing the black sesame Bingsu, chocolate soufflé, chocolate yakgwa, coconut Financier, latte, and jasmine tea (Harney and Sons brand). We actually enjoyed every item. Nothing was too sweet, which we really liked. The first to come out were the small tea treats with our drinks. The yakgwa was lightly sweetened with a small crunch. The black sesame Bingsu came out second and was so deliciously light. The best part was they blended black sesame on the inside of the Bingsu as well so it wasn't just ice as you ate toward the center. The chocolate soufflé came out piping hot and was very light, fluffy, and rich all at the same time. It resembled a molten lava cake mixed with a soufflé pancake. Overall delicious and satisfying. Would definitely come back to try more.
