Great food and ambience! Our server Armando was excellent. He was attentive and friendly. We had a great experience dining here and will definitely come back.
Had dinner at Chubby Cattle, Atlanta at Perimeter Mall and overall it was a pleasant experience. It's a great spot for a slow evening with friends or family, especially if you enjoy the interactive yakiniku-style dining experience. The atmosphere is lively without feeling rushed. The meat quality was good, but if you're used to more traditional and authentic yakiniku restaurants around Atlanta, you may find the slices a bit thinner than expected. The selection is solid, though, and there is plenty of variety. A special shoutout to our server, Armando, who was exceptional. He took the time to explain the membership options and helped us navigate the differences between programs. We originally had a Wagyu House membership that didn't work at this location, but with a $13.89 upgrade, we now have access across all restaurants within the group, which was definitely worth it for us. If you're looking for an easy, social dining experience rather than a highly traditional yakiniku meal, this is a good choice. Great service made the evening.
Great value if you're going for the lunch special at $29.99. They don't offer all the cuts like dinner option but we didn't miss those. We noticed tho the burner was set to low which made it difficult to cook meat nicely. Once adjusted to high, we were getting good sear and going through meat faster. I feel like they do this intentionally so that cooking takes up more time. Definitely check your fire and don't hesitate to have them turn it up.
Truly loved my experience here tonight. Had a reservation for 06:30, sat down right away with no extra wait time. Hostess was super kind in explaining the menu and how the establishment differs a bit from Wagyu House (as that’s the only “bbq” location I’ve been to). We sat down and Anthony took care of us. He was very sweet, friendly, and knowledgeable of the different cuts/meat. We had slight technical difficulties with the tablet, but afterwards, the items we ordered came quickly. I love how everything can be ordered from the tablet, though there is a 7min wait period after each order. The meat was super tender and melt in your mouth. I like all the different side dishes and refreshers they offer at the buffet hall. They also have a vast amount of ingredients and pre-made sauces to accompany your bbq. I was so full by the end of the meal, but I left a little room for dessert. Their egg tarts were warm and the cakes were moist. Glad I stopped by tonight, very satisfied.
I visited for the lunch special, and it’s a great deal—very affordable. Because of that, there was a wait to be seated. Dining time is limited to 90 minutes, and you can only place orders during the first 70 minutes, which felt a bit rushed. The grill power was weak, so it took quite a while to cook the meat. On top of that, meat orders took a long time to arrive, and refills at the bar were very slow—after the initial round, it was mostly empty. That said, my server was very kind and attentive, and the salad bar had a great selection. The green grapes had many dark spots, and most of the strawberries had spoiled areas. Overall, I was happy with the food and service, but the short dining time and slow food delivery made the experience feel rushed. As for the wagyu, I understand the lunch pricing, but the cuts were quite fatty and a bit rubbery. I wish they offered slightly better-quality cuts, even for lunch.
