We visited Daldongnae Korean BBQ at Dundas Square and were able to get a table around lunchtime without making a reservation. The restaurant is conveniently located just an 8-minute walk (about 550 m) from our hotel, Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown, which made it an easy choice. After being seated, our server explained that there is a minimum order of C$20 worth of meat per person. According to the menu, both the fresh and on-the-grill side dishes are complimentary and refillable. The fresh side dishes included pumpkin salad, bean sprouts with soy sauce, acorn jelly with soy sauce, pickled cucumber, seaweed with hot sauce, and lettuce for wrapping, along with a small pot of soybean paste stew. The grill side dishes featured egg mixture, garlic, corn cheese, and kimchi. For the meats, we ordered thin-sliced pork belly, pork jowl, and marinated pork shoulder butt. Everything was flavourful, and very satisfying, making it a hearty and enjoyable lunch. Overall, the food was fantastic, and the experience exceeded our expectations. I would definitely come back again for their Korean BBQ.

Came here with my friend and all the staff were so friendly but mj was super nice! I think he saw us struggling with the meat so asked if he could help out and then cut it up and helped us out and overall the staff is so nice always roaming and asking if you need anything, how it’s going, checking your grill. Overall wonderful experience

Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend coming here on the weekends. We came in at around 6pm, seated right away with barely any line (so it wasn’t as busy yet). Every 1-2 mins or every time a server saw us, we would get asked if we were ready to order, which I didn’t really fault them on since it could just be lack of communication as peak dinner rush was just starting. What rubbed us off was that when we were ready to order, the server took our meat order and then left immediately. We had other things we wanted to order. Luckily the tablet was beside our table so we flagged her down again. She took the next order and left again. We had a drink order. Flagged down one more time and then she asked “is that finally everything?”. This place has good service on weekdays when it’s not busy but it felt like they were trying to rush us out… good meat tho and would come back for the kimchi rice. But maybe a different location.

This was my very first k-bbq and I really had a good time here. The staffs were very friendly, also the kimchi fried rice was the best!! Will be back again here for the wholesome experience.

We had such an amazing experience at this restaurant Everything from the atmosphere to the food was absolutely perfect. The dishes were incredibly delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. You can really tell they care about quality. A special thank you to Jinny, our server, who made the whole experience even better. She was so kind, attentive, and professional, and made us feel truly welcomed. Her service was exceptional and added so much to our night. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for incredible food and outstanding service. We will definitely be coming back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
