Pretty good for a dive bar. Karaoke was a bit of fun although its hard to get a turn. There was a bartender who was rude, and made a pissy comment at my boyfriend for not giving him a tip. Not the best location, my coat got stolen while I was here. Staff did their best to look for it the following day.

Karaoke starts at 9:30 every night and best time to come if you're with a big group and want to claim a couch and rattle off bunch of songs before it gets busy because it is PACKED every day of the week by Midnight and by then the karaoke queue has over an hour wait. I've heard you can tip the karaoke host to sing again but I've never tried it. Weirdest but also best vibes around, its the most mixed bag of people you'll ever see. No cover and the bathroom is absolutely disgusting but its part of the charm. (Just pay attention because it's hard to tell the men's and women's bathrooms apart.

We came via the hotel where we stayed. We had a ticket that we paid and we supposed have a 1 free shot. There was one woman at the bar she just said this is not the bar what you’re looking for as an inappropriate way. She didn’t even try to listen us even though bartender was understood us. I’ve never seen such a disrespectful worker in my life. Whoever the owner is this place they definitely should kick her out!

most hilarious atmosphere in vancouver, arrange for my friends 26th birthday, brought 20 ppl for the karaoke and was honestly surprised how much fun we had. Crazy weird immaculate vibes - bathroom a lil scary tho but suck it up and have fun

Amazing little dive bar that's packed to the brim with energy on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Truly one of my favourite bars in all of Vancouver. It's a small bar, but that adds to the casual, fun, and tight atmosphere. Drinks are cheap, bartenders are friendly and approachable, karaoke is live and center stage, and there's a huge variety of different people and characters to meet in the mix. Everyone there is energetic and always open to meeting new people, having conversations, dancing, and having fun - you'll be accepted here, no matter who you are. There's large tables, small tables, and comfortable couches for when you need a breather or just want to chill and watch what's going on. Pool tables, darts, and a photobooth as well. Even the bathroom is fun to be in, since it's covered in unique graffiti and stickers. They make an effort to have local artists, bands, and comedians play as well. I always have a great time when I go to Funky's!
