Galbi Korean BBQ Kingsway

It’s our first time to eat here at Galbi Kingsway and we’re not disappointed, we love it. I’m happy too coz my husband & family likes it too… oh and their meat is so good too. also, we love their service, our server is so proactive we don’t need to ask, they come to you and will refill our bachan.

Service was minimal and staff mostly only came by to clear plates. No one helped with grilling or checked if we needed more side dishes. The pork seemed frozen, and the ventilation was poor — the smoke smell stayed on our clothes after dinner. Leaving this review hoping they improve the overall experience.

Highly recommend this Korean BBQ spot 🎉 The meat quality is excellent—fresh and minimally marinated, making it perfect for anyone looking for a clean, authentic BBQ experience. They offer a variety of combo options, each coming with a generous selection of banchan (side dishes) that are refillable at no extra cost. While the price is slightly on the higher side, it’s absolutely worth it for the quality you get. The atmosphere is lively and a bit on the louder side, making it a great choice for groups of around four people looking to enjoy a fun dining experience together.

If I could give Galbi Korean BBQ 6 stars, I would. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. We went on a Sunday night and expected a wait, it was about 45 minutes but absolutely worth it. We ordered the Chef’s BBQ Combo D, and it was more than enough for all of us to leave completely full. They continuously refilled our sides and sauces, so we were never without anything. Everything felt clean, organized, and really well run. My personal favourites were the marinated beef short rib, the fresh salad, bean paste soup, scallion salad, and the cheesy corn — all so flavourful and perfectly done. This is hands down one of the best spots to come with your partner or a group, where you can relax, cook together, and actually enjoy the experience as much as the food. We’ll 100% be coming back. 🔥🥩

This Korean restaurant gives us a very good experience! First we want order separate thing, but waitress notice we only two people. She say if we want BBQ, must order minimum two meat, and two people cannot finish so much. So she recommend us the set menu instead — have appetizer, soup, rice, meat, snack, vegetable, soup. some of them can be refil. Everything include already. I think this is very honest service. She not try to make our bill bigger, she actually help us save money and not waste food. This kind of waitress is rare now. Service very attentive, they not rush us, let us enjoy slow slow. Beer have promotion after certain time also, price become more reasonable. For area near Metrotown, this place really care about customer. Food quality is good, portion is right size, and waitress give real suggestion not just try sell expensive item. I feel very welcome here. Will come back again.
