Dropped by on a public holiday for dinner, and the place was surprisingly not full! Had a seat immediately. Staff were nice and they will help cook the meats and cut them. If you’re fumbling around they will patiently wait as well. We were three and got the beef and pork set which was delicious. Along with some sides. The place didn’t leave my hair smelling of bbq. This restaurant has been here for a long time and underwent a refresh, looking less casual, more formal now but still has good food.

Dropped by on a weekday to try their lunch set. The set comes with 5 different banchan, all of which tasted great, fresh, good quality and well made. Lunch sets starts from just $10 and even the options with larger meat portions are reasonably priced. We ordered the soybean paste soup which was comforting and flavorful, though I wished there was a bit more meat as it only came with a few small prawns. We also tried the naengmyeon, which was light, refreshing and perfect as a balance to the meal. We loved that the seats were spaced out unlike other Korean restaurants which makes the dining experience much comfortable

Came back for the second time and I’m still very satisfied 💗 The Korean restaurant serves really delicious food with authentic flavors, and the dishes come out pretty quickly. I love the way everything is seasoned — it tastes just right. There’s also a staff member wears glasses and is super cute and friendly, which made the experience even more pleasant 🥹 The only small downside is that the banchan was a bit different today, so I was slightly sad because I preferred the previous set. But overall, it was still great, and I would definitely come back again.

The meat was fresh and tender. The staff help to cook it perfectly. There’s a variety of side dishes to go with the meat. Pan cake was not the crispy type. Tteokbokki was served pipping hot. Steam egg can skip too.

Celebrated Parents' Day with the family here and it was an excellent choice. The overall food quality was awesome, the atmosphere was lively, and the spread left everyone full and satisfied. The Highlights: The BBQ Pork (Samgyeopsal): Absolutely delicious. The meat cuts were thick, fresh, and grilled beautifully over the charcoal setup. The copper exhaust hoods do a fantastic job keeping the smoke away from the table. We ordered 2 sets. Steamed Egg (Gyeran-jjim): Fluffy, pillowy, and served piping hot in the traditional stone bowl with a nice sprinkle of sesame seeds. A huge hit with the family! Japchae: Packed with colorful vegetables, mushrooms, and perfectly bouncy glass noodles. Well-seasoned and authentic. Pancake: This is probably my best dish. Never ate such good quality before in any Korean restaurant. Banchan (Side Dishes): A great variety of fresh sides—the kimchi, fish cakes, and macaroni salad paired beautifully with the meat and lettuce wraps. The Downside: Spicy Squid (Ojingeo Bokkeum): While it looked vibrant and fiery, the flavor and texture were just "so-so" compared to how stellar the grilled meats and other dishes were. It wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out. Verdict If you are looking for a solid Korean BBQ spot in a beautiful shophouse setting, Guiga Korean BBQ delivers. Great food, wonderful hospitality for a family celebration, and excellent grilled meats. We will definitely be back—though we might skip the squid next time and order more BBQ instead! 24.05.2026
