What locals say
I went to buy Jin ramen which has both mild and spicy. I only saw mild. I asked if spicy was available. I was told by the customer service and two employees that it would be available on the following day. So I left but came back within a two hours because I recalled I had other things to buy other than Korean ramen. The spicy Jin ramen was on the shelves. It's not that they lie, but they have very rude behavior whenever they are politely asked about product availability and product placement in their store. It not just this location but other locations (especially Richmond, Vancouver downtown, Burnaby and Langley). What's their problem? I also find that they are so kind and helpful if you speak in Korean. Hannam Supermarket is way better in service and product selection. A little pricier in some items but more authentic Korean items.
The store consistently claims runs out of advertised items. Yesterday they did not honour their advertised price for a specific item and tried to do the same with other items. This is false advertising just to lure customers but it is not ethical or legal. I made them aware but they did not care. They simply said " If you don't like the price don't buy it. We will not sell at advertised price". I don't think its worth going there.
This Asian Food Grocery Store is located along Dunbar Street and 39th Avenue and the freshness, quality and ease of shopping has made it one of our specialty grocery stores to shop at…free parking is easily available in the area..
This is by far the best Asian grocery store in the area. They have an incredible selection of products, so I can always find everything I need in one trip. What really sets this H-Mart apart is their diverse variety—they carry a great selection of Chinese products tailored to the local community, which I haven't seen at other locations. The staff members are consistently friendly and helpful, making the shopping experience even better. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the neighborhood!
Amazing service from the one gentleman that works there! And good selection of Asian condiments and snacks. However, don’t get any seafood, the spot prawns were $30+ and after we realized 20-30% were dead from a 7 lb purchase. They clearly don’t maintain the live prawns and still sell the dead ones unfortunately.
