A fantastic sento located a short walk from Uguisudani Station of Yamanote line. The bath is large and varied. There is a micro bubble bath, external bath, medicinal bath and sauna if you pay extra. The restaurant on the 2nd floor is cheap and offers great value. Overall a great public bath that offers a lot of value.

If you want to experience a Japanese-style neighborhood bathhouse, this is a place you should definitely visit at least once! It's nice that it opens early and runs until late, and there is a break time in the middle. The quality of the restaurant on the first floor is very good, so it's great to have food and draft beer after taking a bath. Please note that this is not a ryokan or open-air bath.

Very disappointing experience. The tattoo ban here is enforced in an aggressive, outdated, and frankly unwelcoming way. The signage alone feels hostile rather than informative, treating customers as a problem instead of guests. In 2026, banning people outright for tattoos, regardless of size, style, or whether they can be covered, shows a complete lack of cultural awareness and basic hospitality. Tattoos are common, international, and not a symbol of criminality. Many sento and onsen across Japan have already evolved. This place clearly has not. I was looking forward to relaxing and appreciating a traditional sento, but instead I was met with exclusion and a rigid mindset. There was no attempt at dialogue, compromise, or even politeness. Just a flat rejection. If you are tattooed, even minimally, avoid this place entirely. Plenty of other sento manage to respect tradition without alienating people. This one chooses intolerance instead.

I had a very pleasant experience at Haginoyu. The environment is clean, calm, and very comfortable, and the overall service was excellent. I accidentally lost something during my visit, and an elderly female staff member was incredibly kind and willing to help me look for it. She even gave me a towel while assisting me. Although we had some difficulty communicating due to the language barrier, I could clearly feel how concerned she was about my situation. Fortunately, I managed to find my lost item in the end. I am truly grateful for her kindness and help. Thank you for such warm and thoughtful service. I would definitely recommend this place.

Haginoyu is a great modern Sento / Public Bath, and is an easy entry into anyone wanting to try out the Japanese Public Bath Experience! The staff are friendly and accommodating to foreigners, and the overall experience is relaxing and a good experience. Spaced over 3 floors, there are complete separate floors for men and women. The Sento / Public Bath itself meets your standard expectations for bathhouses--it has a few different types of temperature baths of both hot and cold water, including one that is infused with a fruit-essence, and that fruit essence flavor is changed periodically. They also have one dry-sauna that is an extra charge for use like most Sentos, but it was well heated and properly taken care of. The overall layout of the Sento is a bit tighter and more compact compared to other Sentos, but is understandable given how it's inside a building complex and not a standalone feature. The baths are a bit more simplistic and straightforward, but are still well designed and maintained. The outdoor bath portion has strong privacy girders and bars, but it also prevents some cooler outdoor airflow circulation from reaching the outdoor bath. They have digital ticket machines and you can pay for your fees and towel rentals (highly recommend renting towels) with cash or credit cards. They also have souvenirs and commemorative towels that can be purchased separately. And like all good Sentos or Public Baths, they have a large supply of fresh Milk of different flavors ready to be had upon your bathing completion! It's a great way to wrap up your bathing experience! Overall, this is a great stop for anyone who is looking to try the Public Bathing experience but is a bit timid or unsure about all the rules and processes. A great first time experience for any new beginner!
