Not our first time here but definitely not our last! Had a great dinner at HANJIP Korean Grill House at Clarke Quay. It’s one of the larger Korean BBQ restaurants in Singapore and a really nice spot for gatherings with friends or family. One thing I appreciated is that they handle the grilling for you, so the meats come out perfectly cooked while you just relax and enjoy the meal. Even better, you don’t leave smelling like BBQ smoke. We tried quite a spread and everything was satisfying. The Hanjip Platter was great for sharing, with USDA Prime Ribeye, USDA Prime Boneless Short Rib, Kurobuta Pork Belly and Marinated Pork Collar. Some other dishes we enjoyed: • Hamachi Carpaccio • Spicy Sea Snails Salad • Spicy Seafood Tofu Stew • Seafood Kimchi Pancake • Ginseng Chicken • Spicy Chicken with Cheese We ended the meal with the Mango Bingsu, which was light, refreshing and a nice way to wrap up a BBQ dinner. We also had a bucket of soju from Chorong Chorong which made the meal even more fun. They also run some good promos like complimentary Wagyu Oyster Blade with Chope reservation! Overall a lively spot for Korean BBQ in Clarke Quay, especially if you’re dining with a group.

We headed over to Clarke Quay specifically to eat at Hanjip, and it was definitely worth the trip. The meat was really tender and high quality. The staff were very friendly and took care of the grilling for us, which made the whole meal very relaxed. It’s great when the service is attentive without being over the top. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the overall vibe was spot on. The spicy cucumber is a must try! We’ll definitely be coming back here the next time we’re in Singapore.

Visited Hanjip Korean Grill House recently and tried their newly launched lunch menu. Overall, it feels like a more elevated take on Korean BBQ, with a well-balanced set menu that’s great for sharing. We started with the appetizers, including the kale salad and hamachi carpaccio. The carpaccio stood out the most—light, slightly tangy, and very refreshing as a starter. The BBQ platter was the highlight. It comes with a good variety of meats like USDA Prime ribeye, boneless short rib, kurobuta pork belly, and marinated pork collar. Everything was grilled by the staff, so the cooking was consistent and hassle-free. Also appreciated that there was minimal smoke, so you don’t leave smelling like BBQ. For noodles, we had the cold noodles, which were perfect after the grilled meats—very refreshing and helped balance the richness. We also tried the ginseng chicken soup, which had a strong herbal flavour and was quite comforting. The wagyu beef pot rice was another favourite, especially when mixed well—it was fragrant and satisfying. Dessert was bingsu shaved ice, a nice light finish to the meal and good for sharing. They also have some ongoing promotions, including a free Australian wagyu oyster blade with reservation via Chope, birthday perks with A5 wagyu, and free kids’ meals on weekends, which adds good value. Overall, a spacious and comfortable spot with attentive service, quality food, and a more complete dining experience beyond just BBQ. Suitable for gatherings, and I’d come back again.

The interior is HUGE & super spacious, they even have private rooms available 🙌🏼 They’ve just launched a NEW menu & these are some of the dishes we tried! APPETISERS 🥗 /Hanjip Kale Salad/ SO unique & a crowd favourite ⭐ /Hamachi Carpaccio/ This is so light & refreshing, a great appetiser before our meats! 🥹 RICE BOWLS 🍚 /Wagyu Beef Pot Rice/ Another star of the show!! Love the subtle char and toasty aroma from the claypot that adds depth to the whole dish! /Korean Abalone Pot Rice/ This pale in comparison to the wagyu beef rice but we love the sweetness of the abalone that goes really well with the rice HANJIP PLATTER 🥩 From Japanese Wagyu Ribeye & Ribeye Cap to the Wagyu Oyster Blade, you can see the exceptional and intricate marbling where the fats are evenly distributed in the meat. Each beef slices was rich, buttery & melt in your mouth kind of tenderness 😍 We devoured them in no time! SOUP 🥣 /Spicy Tofu Stew/ Rich, umami-packed broth with silky tofu and seafood, this is so comforting with a slow, spicy kick to it🔥 DESSERT 🍨 /Mango Bingsu Shaved Ice/ Not too sweet & the perfect end to our savoury meal! Huge MENTION to the side dishes that are free flow - the kimchi is hands down one of the best that we’ve tasted 👅 ONGOING PROMOTIONS 🔥 1. The complimentary Wagyu Oyster Blade promotion with reservations was a really nice bonus and a great way to start the meal. Had a wonderful dining experience overall. One of the highlights was the service. The staff took care of all the BBQ grilling from start to finish, so we could simply sit back, enjoy the food and focus on the conversation. They were attentive throughout the meal and ensured everything was cooked perfectly. Besides the generous quality side dishes, the mains such as the Korean Abalone Pot Rice & Spicy Seafood Noodle were equally memorable. Great food, excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere near the Singapore river.
