Homm Dessert Haymarket

The Thai tea Bingsu definitely lives up to its hype!!! We need to come back to try more things but I would come back just for the Bingsu! The Thai tea itself is actually not that sweet, you can taste the bitterness (in a good way) but of course with the condensed milk it makes it a sweet treat. We came on a Sunday night around 8 and there was a little line. So we asked if we could sit outside! It was cold but we were fine! They happily sat us down and the desserts didn’t take too long either.

​Stopped by Homm in Haymarket for the second time. The presentation is quite creative; they have a nice way of styling the desserts that makes them fun to look at. ​My thoughts: ​Shaved Ice: The flavor is very rich and doesn't taste watered down. ​Mango & Sticky Rice: I really enjoyed the combination of the sweet cold mango ice with the warm sticky rice served on the side. The temperature contrast works surprisingly well. ​Drinks: The beverages, like the layered passionfruit drink, look nice but aren't quite as memorable as the food. ​It is a little on the expensive side, but for a special treat, it’s definitely worth a try.

Everything was really nice, especially the coconut shokupan. The toast was slightly crispy outside but still soft inside, and it went really well with the ice cream. I went in the afternoon so it wasn’t too crowded, which made the place feel more relaxing and comfortable to sit in.

Had a great experience at Homm Dessert Haymarket. We ordered the Katsu Shokupan and it was absolutely delicious - light, fluffy, and not overly sweet, which made it really enjoyable. We’ve also tried their Shokupan previously and were equally impressed by how incredibly soft and fresh the bread was.

Homm is easily one of my favourite dessert spots in Sydney. I’ve been here three times now and the quality has been consistently excellent every visit. The Thai Tea Avalanche Bingsu is incredibly refreshing, with just the right level of sweetness — not one of those overly sugary desserts. It’s light, flavourful, and perfect after dinner. Another standout is the Coconut Pandan Shokupan. The bread is unbelievably soft, and the coconut ice cream is fragrant and refreshing. The combination works beautifully together. Just a heads up: they don’t take bookings, so it’s walk-in only. You do have to queue, but the line moves surprisingly quickly. We went on a Saturday night - for a table of six and only waited about 10 minutes.
