Superficial, rushed, and mechanical deep tissue massage—lacking skill and personalization. My girlfriend and I came to Inspiration Spa today for a deep tissue massage, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing massage experiences I’ve had. Given the many positive reviews, I expected a high level of skill, but what we received felt rushed, superficial, and entirely lacking in depth. While the spa itself is clean, cleanliness alone isn’t enough to make for a great experience—the quality of the massage is what truly matters. Despite requesting twice that the therapist slow down, she continued using rapid, repetitive movements that were more reminiscent of a light lotion application than a deep tissue massage. There was no real engagement with the muscles, no sense of adjusting to individual tension points—just a rigid, mechanical routine, as if she was following a memorized script rather than responding to the unique needs of my body. A skilled therapist understands that every client carries different tensions and patterns, requiring intuitive adjustments and attention. Unfortunately, that level of care was completely missing here. Instead, it felt like the therapist was simply checking off movements from a preset list, with little understanding of how to actually work the muscles. Given the glowing reviews, I’m truly surprised by our experience. If you’re looking for a thoughtful, effective deep tissue massage, I’d recommend exploring other options.
Amazing service! I love my experience with inspiración spa, staff super polite and professional 💜🤗 will definitely come back again! The jacuzzi is so big, very cool for friends gathering!
I've been to many Spa's and this one was incredibly overpriced for the standard of experience. I think I would've paid around £40 for the same experience in the UK - while here I paid nearer £120! Inexperienced masseuse, felt very rushed and mechanical, lacked skill and personalization. Was ushered from massage table to sauna to jacuzzi in a rush by a lady that seemed stressed and wasn't a very calming presence. The sauna was very odd, wasn't warm enough - I didn't sweat at all. In the jacuzzi, the lady asked if I wanted more time - but then quickly told me that 'I had reached my time'. I was ready to come out regardless, but why offer if it's not an option? Upon payment also, the lady on reception took my card behind the desk and then told me that my payment hadn't been processed - only for me to open my app to show that it had gone through. She apologised and offered me a random piece of tiger's eye gemstone to take with me home. Feel this was really odd experience and a bit dodgy. I cancelled my card just incase as I felt she had taken down my details. I wouldn't recommend this place. It was a big shame as I had booked this experience as a treat at the end of my trip. Instead I left feeling a bit stressed and anxious!
One of the best massages I’ve had. The sauna was a nice touch and very relaxing.
EDIT: The spa is claiming i did not make a reservation and showed up unexpectedly, hence the cold jacuzzi. I made a reservation on Whatsapp and showed this at checkin, so this is an unacceptable excuse. My partner and I went in for the couples massage package which was a jacuzzi, sauna, massage and shower. We had a great first impression, the receptionist is VERY nice and helpful, but as soon as we got in the jacuzzi and realized the water is cold, it felt like a waste of time. The temp was set to 40 Celsius (104F) but never got past 35C (95F), so we were very cold the entire time and considered leaving. We stuck it out and moved on to the sauna, which we got walked in on twice and felt intrusive. As another review said, my massage felt very rushed. She used quick movements like a lotion application and didnt really massage my arms or legs. I asked her to go harder on my back and only got a few painful strokes in some knots, the rest was like she was in a hurry to finish. Overall I feel that $300+ for the two of us was not a good value. I would have liked to pay no more than $150USD for what this ended up being, maybe less considering the jacuzzi was broken. I wanted to do a spa day on the last day of our vacation and deeply regret spending a dime here.
