JJ Family Spa Plus

I’ve been coming here regularly for years, and at $25 it always felt fair for what you get. The space has charm, but it’s also pretty outdated and hasn’t really changed over time. Jumping the price to $35 with no real upgrades or improvements is hard to justify. At that point, there are more modern, upscale spots in the $35–50 range that offer a noticeably better experience. I still appreciate the place, but the new pricing doesn’t match what’s being offered anymore.

$35 for admission. 2 "hand" towels provided to keep you dry through your stay in the wet spaces. And you are to use those same "hand" towels to dry yourself off before leaving. When I went to the front desk to ask for 2 more, the front desk attendant said it would be $0.50 per towel. I countered by saying that I had already paid $35 and that asking for more money for towels that weren't large enough to dry yourself off with was absurd. She suggested I could dry myself off with the uniform they provided and then fully dry off at home. At the same time, they had no one available for massage, scrub and the cafe was closed. Either put the rates back to the $16 to $18 they were before the pandemic, or at the very least he able to offer the services you advertise. And seriously reconsider asking your clients to pay $0.50 for additional towels. That's one way to ensure they don't come back because you don't value their business.

Great experience at JJ Spa! I’ve been going for about a year now and it’s always been consistently good. The place is clean, calm, and the staff are very friendly and professional. The massage has an authentic asian style and really helps with my tight back from working at a desk. Mr. Kim’s acupuncture is especially effective — highly recommend. The steam room is a big bonus — it really helped with my dry skin during the dry indoor climate. I always leave feeling better!

A friend recommended this place to me, and I have to say it really exceeded my expectations. I'm a very picky person, but I was satisfied with the experience...... impressed by the warm and relaxing atmosphere, the friendly staff, and professional service. a little old, but very organized and clean. I've been going to another traditional Korean spa in Burnaby for the past year with a higher price, I'm thinking of switching to this one. Closer to my house and the price here is reasonable and definitely worth it!

This is a traditional Korean scrub sauna spa. They offer three different scrub packages to choose from, depending on the level of treatment you want. If you prefer not to book a scrub, you can simply pay the $35 admission fee and enjoy the facilities, which include a charcoal room, infrared sauna room, salt room, cold room, wet sauna, and dry sauna. At the front desk, they provide two towels and a set of spa clothes. The overall atmosphere is calm and relaxing, making it a nice place to unwind. The traditional Korean scrub is quite unique — if you’ve never tried it before, it’s definitely an interesting experience worth trying at least once. One small suggestion would be to improve the cleanliness a bit more, as that would make the experience even better.
