My last dinner in Mexico City at this spot was the amazing close out. I didn’t think the fusion of Mexican and Korean could be so good. The elote was excellent!!! All the other dishes were good also. The must try was the Korean feast plate. That dish was phenomenal with the steak on top of Bulgogi meat on a sizzling skillet. 💣. Never had it like that. Presentation on point. Hands down a must try for all curious eaters.

Jowong makes some interesting Korean dishes with a Mexican twist. If you're looking for authentic Korean comfort food, Jowong isn't your place. We had the Korean fried chicken, nicely fried chicken breast pieces, not so much Korean about it besides the dipping sauce but it's quite tasty. The cold buckwheat noodles with scallops was refreshing. The carbonara pasta was creamy and delicious. Kimchee is a side dish you have to order. The ambiance was art deco, contemporary and very comfortable.

We had a fantastic dinner. Great banchans, good vegetarian options for starts and mains. The corn starter was the standout. We also were served delicious birthday cookies, might be one of them best I’ve had at a restaurant. There was a little panic that happened in the restaurant. The staff was very professional and handled the situation perfectly. After a minute I just wanted to get back to the corn.

Excellent place with a relatively short menu, very original dishes. Starting with kimchi and pickled cucumbers was really good, the esquites were delicious, and we shared the beef soup. The spiciness was dialled down, since a lot of American tourists eat there; if you want the proper spiciness level you have to tell the server upfront. Service was excellent and friendly. The camote cheesecake was an excellent dessert. The sparkling cold jasmine tea is an acquired taste, though. The espresso was very good. All in all, the place deserves its mention in the guide Michelin.

Great ambience for a romantic chill dinner. Love the hip hop music in the background. Dishes were well executed and plated well. Creative mix of Korean and Mexican and Italian flavors. Love the green beans and bibimbap and esquietes. The bartender made some delicious drinks. Servers were very attentive and knowledgeable. This was upscale dining with casual ambience. Reasonable price. Recommend highly.
