We loved the korean BBQ. The server was super kind and helped us with it. Food is very authentic and value for money is great. Some of the best kimchi i ever had.

We wanted a Korean BBQ, there is plenty to choose from and we decided to come here. As with a lot of local restaurants, they are a small, unassuming affair. Jumak 39 has nice signage on the front and is split across 2 floors. Grounf floor caters mostly for a la carte (I think) and we were shown downstairs into the BBQ area. It is a self service bbq and you get your own meats etc from a small area. You then cook it on the electric grill on the table. The food was generally good along with the salads etc. To be fair, it was better than I expected it to be. However, it did get quite “smoky” with all of the bbq area fully seated and as with any bbq, it stuck to our clothes. It was only later than we noticed that they turned on the air con on to extra some of the excess smoke (we felt it come on), but by that time, it was too late. In terms of presentation, ground floor was much better presented and laid out. It feels as if the lower ground floor for the bbq was a bit of an after thought. The food area feels a bit weak in terms of presentation and layout as well. The staff who were working when we went, it felt as if they were a bit overrun and struggled to keep up with demand. All in all. The concept and food was good, but if they tightened up the service and laid things out a bit better, I think they will be onto a winner.

We were looking for a place to eat around 10 pm and came across this restaurant. We ordered the beef bibimbap, and it was absolutely delicious. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back to try more items on the menu.

We went in a group of 5 to meet an old acquaintance. The selection of sides and mains is very nice, and there are vegetarian options as well. For the meat eaters, the meat is tender and juicy, very well marinated. The atmosphere is nice, and the service is swift and careful. Main dishes such as bibimbap and toppoki are also very lovely and have a nice flavour profile. The buffet was booked out for the day, but we would love to try it one day as well.

An amazing Korean style restaurant in London. The location is very central. Just a few steps from Leicester Square. My local friends took me there. The food was delicious and the service was quick and excellent. We shared several plates together. My favourite was definitely the BBQ chicken. I highly recommend it if you're in the area.
