Kook Korean BBQ Restaurant

I l enjoyed Kook so much on my recent visit I came back with a different group two weeks later. Great spot especially for four to six people, we ordered the set combo both times and it was a perfect amount of food. Shoutout to Heyman and all the attentive staff for taking great care of us. We’ll be back soon!

We just visited Kook Korean BBQ last night and ordered the Combination B for our family of four. It was more than enough food for all of us! The experience was fantastic from start to finish. We were served by everyone on the team and most especially by Hayo, whom we found on Instagram. She was incredibly cheerful, attentive, and welcoming. Honestly, the whole staff made the atmosphere feel warm, lively, and energetic. We absolutely loved the atmosphere and the overall vibe of the restaurant. The Combination B came with 15 refillable side dishes (banchan), but there was already so much food that we barely even needed refills. The quality of the meats really stood out. The marbling of the marinated short ribs was impressive (Yangnyeom Galbi), L.A. galbi, pork galbi, beef bulgogi, and chicken bulgogi were all flavorful and quality cuts. The soft tofu soup (Soondubu Jjigae) was amazing, rich, and comforting. We also loved the japchae noodles, perfectly seasoned and a great balance with the BBQ meats. One thing that really impressed me was how attentive the staff were. They constantly changed the grill plate so the meats stayed fresh and cooked properly. They also immediately noticed when I accidentally used my chopsticks on the raw meat and kindly asked me to replace them for food safety reasons. I was honestly amazed by that level of attention and care. To finish, they served the traditional cold cinnamon ginger drink (Sujeonggwa), which was incredibly refreshing and the perfect way to end the meal. Another bonus was the free parking at the arcade. Definitely recommend making a reservation because it gets very full, especially Fridays to Sundays. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back!

Went here for my birthday and everything was amazing. We got the KOOK combination (their deluxe platter) and the meat was so flavourful and tender. The steak had great marbling as well. All the banchan were delicious and unique. The server kept bringing more, even when we weren't fully finished, which I appreciated.

We made a last-minute reservation and were so glad we got a table. The food was excellent. We ordered the combo for four, and it was more than enough. The japchae was delicious, the side dishes were unlimited, and I especially loved the beef! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. One of them recommended a rice wine for us to try and made sure we had a great experience. I'm so glad we chose this place for our first dinner on our first visit to Vancouver.

Hard to get a decent reservation time unless you are planning well ahead but it's all worth it. Love the 16 variety of side dishes. We tried combo A and added 1 addition beef finger meat dish for 4 people. All the foods are sooo delicious with great service.
