Probably the best service from any restaurant in the city. Our server was chill, friendly and full of recommendations. Owner Jay was awesome, spoke many languages and showcased his talent when he comes by to check in on you. Such an amazing atmosphere. Now onto the food... we choose the table top BBQ and wow the marinated beef kalbi short ribs was amazing. Also ordered the pork kalbi and wow that was so good too! So tender and juicy. Highly recommend this spot!
I highly recommend Korean Village Restaurant if you’re in the downtown Toronto area. Everything was amazing! The owner was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He made us feel very welcomed and their staff all took great care of our party of 8 guests. The entire menu selection was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was very pleasant and clean. You will not be disappointed!
Went this restaurant for mother's day lunch last week. We have been to a few restaurants in the Korean town they were all pretty good but this one is more than just food. I enjoyed the atmosphere when walking in. We were assigned small room which is private and good for group chat. The food was also great with good services. We enjoyed the meal and finally we have also noticed picture on the wall with my favorite Jacky Chan and Kim Hee-Son whom visited this place also 😀
My partner and I truly enjoy this place for all the above - food, service and atmosphere! Korean food is definitely a must try and this is the spot to do it - whether you are craving seafood pancake, bimbimbap or some bulgogi, Korean Village has it all. It is delicious homestyle cooking, with large portions to share. My favourites here are the seafood pancake (crispy and plenty of seafood), bimbimbap (my favourites are chicken or bulgoki beef) and tang su yuk / kampungki (we like the chicken). Each item is flavourful, cooked well and comes hot. Service is amazing, with the owner often personally seeing to us during our last two visits as I was pregnant then and again, when we had the baby. We were seated in a private booth, though we did not ask for it but it was greatly appreciated! You will not find a more dedicated and passionate owner who upholds his mother's dreams. He greets guests in one of the several languages he knows and always checks in to make sure you are enjoying your experience and meal. He also makes your visit very personable by sharing stories of his late mother, which are so touching. This is a family-friendly/group setting atmosphere with many coming in groups to enjoy! We have found seating easily but it is a busy spot - for good reason!! Can't wait to be back (:
Visited today for the first time, and I can confidently say it won’t be my last visit. I was lucky enough to visit Seoul for the first time a few weeks ago with work, and ever since then I’ve been craving authentic Korean food. So when I discovered your restaurant on this work trip, I was absolutely delighted. The food was everything I’d been hoping for and more. The kimchi and pork belly stew was rich, comforting, and packed with flavour, with just the right amount of spice. The complimentary side dishes were fantastic, and the kimchi in particular was outstanding! What made the experience even better was the wonderful hospitality. The two waitresses were so warm, welcoming, and attentive, making me feel genuinely looked after from the moment I arrived. Thank you for such a memorable meal. It brought back wonderful memories of my time in Seoul and completely satisfied the craving I’ve had since returning home. I’ll definitely be back the next time my flights bring me to Toronto. ☺️❤️
