The service at this Korean barbecue spot was fantastic. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, making our dining experience a true pleasure. The food quality was top-notch—the meat was fresh and flavorful, and all the banchan were delicious. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great Korean barbecue close by Christie Pits park! 🏀 🥽 ⚾
Went here for a friend's birthday. It is certainly lively. We got a set meat option. Everything was good. Lots of celebrities and athletes go here.
Mapo korean bbq has become our absolute go to spot. We come all the time, and it never disappoints. The meats are tender, juicy, our favourite spicy chicken bibimbab is a must here. The side dishes are full of flavor and could refill anytime. The staff always makes us feel welcome, very friendly and nice😋🥰
Always a great time here. The meats are always fresh and the side dishes are all delicious. The service has also gone up a notch. The servers are there to bbq and cut up the meats for you, they're very friendly and attentive. Definitely one of the best kbbq in the city!
Extremely disappointing visit to what I thought would be a highly rated spot. Sadly, it fell short in every way. We arrived for dinner and weren't greeted at all upon entering. After a wait, we were seated right in the middle of a busy hallway at a tiny, uncomfortable table with low seats and no backrests. Several nice-looking booths were empty nearby, but no one offered us one or even acknowledged the poor choice of seating. The food was the biggest letdown. We ordered the Beef Combo expecting something special given the restaurant's reputation, but it was thoroughly mediocre. Several pieces were so chewy and tough that I had to spit them out into my napkin—definitely not what you'd expect at this price point. Service made things worse. Despite plenty of staff walking around, none made eye contact or checked on us proactively. I had to flag someone down multiple times just for simple things like side dish refills and extra napkins. They seemed aimless rather than attentive. For two people, the bill came to around $180 after tip—far too expensive for such an underwhelming experience all around. I really wanted to love this place based on the high ratings, but I can't recommend it in its current state.
