맛찬들 - Matchandeul BBQ Thảo Điền

6/10 from me.. The food was fine, my complaint is the service at this location.. I had called ahead to rsvp for a bday dinner; when we arrived, there was a 20min wait to be seated, 15min to get the menu, 30min to get help with cooking the meat, then little waits in-between for banchan refills. Matchandeul pride itself for the exception service. I’ve had great experiences everywhere else, just not this rodeo.

An excellent reliable location for bombtastic authentic Korean BBQ, great service, and satisfying ambiance 😌. This location is roomier compared to its branch in District 1, with plenty of parking spaces in front and located on an easily accessible road. We waited for about 20 mins for a table without a reservation, so i would highly recommend calling first for bigger groups. The meat and side quality are the same as it's counterpart (and I would even argue the portions here are bigger compared to the D1 location). I would highly recommend visiting and I'll definitely be coming back for more.

I have a very good experience here, they serve great dishes from the main dishes from beef and pork, the side dishes are also great. I rarely see Korean restaurants serving such delicious Banchan, and their meat is also very fresh and sweet. Everyone should come and try it, the restaurant space is also very spacious and clean.

The food standard is decent given the high bar of Korean bbq in Thao Dien. But the huge influx of customers led to a below bar in service quality. The wait staff was juggling and cooking for multiple tables. Some of the ingredients were burned as a result. The cold noodles had too much ice and the soup lacking in flavor. There are better alternatives within walking distance such as marbling, 0 degrees and sansung at about the same price point.

I had a very enjoyable Korean BBQ experience at 맛찬들 - Matchandeul BBQ Thảo Điền. The restaurant has a lively and authentic Korean atmosphere, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends. During our visit, we mainly focused on the beef dishes, and the quality was excellent. The beef was very fresh, tender, and full of flavor. We also tried the beef hotpot, which was warm, comforting, and perfectly seasoned. One of the highlights was the kimchi fried rice with cheese — it was very rich, fragrant, and the melted cheese added a great creamy texture. Another thing I really liked was the variety of vegetables served with the meal. There were so many fresh vegetables and side dishes, which balanced the richness of the beef very well and made the whole meal feel complete and satisfying. The staff were very professional and attentive, helping with grilling and making sure everything was served nicely. Overall, the food quality, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. I would definitely recommend Matchandeul BBQ Thảo Điền for anyone looking for a great Korean BBQ experience.
