My favorite Korean traditional Ddeok (= rice cakes) bakery! 1-2 / year I order big size of various kinds of Ddeok ! It tastes much better than what we buy from the stores what they supply because we can eat them when they're still warm ! Compare to the other Ddeok in Hmart, this bakery ones are much better !
The lady at the store was very friendly and took her time to answer all my questions. She even sent me photos to show what I was getting for my order. I ordered Korean rice Cakes for my granddaughter's Bakil (100th-day celebration). The Cakes were perfect: tasty, with just the right amount of sweetness, and they looked great on the celebration table. I will definitely order from this place whenever I need Korean Rice Cakes in Chicago.
Save your time and don’t come here. Came to get sulppang which they said they don’t have but they have mochi instead it still looks like sulppang so I was going to purchase all to be told, they only make it on certain days and to come back? See now please have that on your website or your menu very unprofessional. Pretty upset that I drove just to leave with nothing when gas prices are spiking rn really could’ve saved the drive.
Ordered korean rice cakes from here and it turned out great! It tasted good too. Don't order too much because its not as fresh/soft after one day so I made sure I gave it all away to our guests.
The honey-filled rice cake is overly thick and dense, with almost an imitation filling. With too much sesame and without an adequate portion of honey or sugar ruins all. It's too thick, making it difficult to eat more than a couple. Your jaw will tire out quick.
