Nissin World Delicatessen

The store itself is great. As others have said, it is easily accessed from Azabu Sta., they also have some parking. You can find almost everything a foreigner would want that you just can’t find in a regular supermarket, of course the prices are eye-watering on most of the rare products. Staff are friendly and all(?) speak some English. I was exited to try out some of their own brand bacon as I’m always disappointed with the “bacon” here in Japan. Unfortunately it too was disappointing, tastes like all the other grocery store bacon here in Japan, which is like ham.

While some things can be a bit pricey, Nissin is one of the best all-around grocery stores in Tokyo, particularly for its selection of meats, cheese, wine and foreign goods. The amazing selection of both old and new world wines alone should be enough to convince you to come back. The wine selection is simply amazing, and the pricing is very good for Tokyo.

Foreigners-store with (premium) products form over the world, think Belgian Beers, French wine, etc and premium Japanese cuts of wagyu. Below the store there’s a lunch place where you can grab a sandwich or burger. The best thing : you can grab a vold Stella Artois from the store and have it with your burger.

A very good supermarket especially for non Japanese. They offer many items not found in any other supermarket such as: pure lean ground beef ( usually it is mixed with pork in Japan ), a wide variety of cheeses, and spices. They also have a deli counter where they slice sandwich meats and steaks. They also have a whole floor dedicated to beer and wine. Many of the items they offer are imported and the prices reflect that. Overall I love this place. Edit : They have moved the business across the street. The new building is MUCH smaller. In my opinion 1/3 the size of the original. Shopping has become much harder on busy days. Edit: Recently was shopping here ( 12/19 ) and saw they are expanding the building making it twice it’s original size. Can’t wait to go back when it’s finished!

This is a great supermarket for American goods that are often hard to find in Tokyo, such as Flamin' Hot Cheetos, Frank's RedHot sauce, and seasonal items like smoked turkey. While prices are slightly marked up compared to other stores, the selection makes it well worth the cost. The service is impeccable, with a fully bilingual staff, and the butchers are excellent and worth building a rapport with. The ground floor features a cafe with over 10 outdoor seats. The menu includes Reuben sandwiches, wagyu burgers, and German frankfurter hot dogs. The wagyu burger is priced under JPY 2,000 and is particularly impressive; the patty is tender, served on a lightly toasted bun and fully loaded with all the fixings. It is highly recommended and worth a visit for a quick, quality bite.
