O'ma Spoon

Craved a sweet treat and decided to try this cafe. Been eyeing it for a while and was quite excited for first impressions. Walked in at about 4:30PM on a Saturday, quite packed, with few empty tables. The Milo banana bingsu was unavailable so we settled for the Choco banana bingsu. Now if the name says “Choco banana”, you’d expect there to be idk maybe more than 8 slices of banana?? That’s like not even half a single banana for something that’s $17. Anyways, everything else tasted good. Perhaps the normal sized bowls are too much for 2 pax? 3 should be fine (not a complaint, just a heads up). Erm overall, pricey bc orchard, and need more banana bro — needa hit my daily potassium.

I really enjoyed my visit here! My favourite was the CHOCO BANANA BINGSU which chocolate ice cream lovers will definitely like. I left very full and satisfied and I’d definitely recommend this place to others! (more on @gourmetguidee on Instagram)

Came to try the Bingsu as colleague said “it is to die for”. I tried the matcha bingsu and it was so sweet that it was more like to die-betes for. I only ate a few mouthfuls and left the rest. At $17.90, the price is unjustified for a bowl of shaved ice topped with overly sweet red beans, sliced almonds and tiny mochi balls. Not worth the price nor calories! A bowl of ice kacang would be much more satisfying.

Came here on a Sunday around 8pm with a surprising amount of customers justified by how delicious the food was. I ordered a Sunday Caramel Honey Butter Bread which was crunchy on the outside with a soft centre, and paired well with the sweet caramel drizzle and whipped cream on the top. Signature Injeolmi Bingsu was milky and nutty with the Injeolmi and red bean paste. Dalgona Brown Sugar was on the sweeter side but I really liked the milk and the hint of dalgona taste. Finally, the Blue Lemonade was refreshing and a taste cleanser for the desserts. After finishing the meal, a staff took the initiative to return the tray even though it was self-return which I really appreciated. Overall, I was satisfied with the quality of food for the price I paid and would definitely stop by here again to try their fruit/oreo bingsus and their Nutella toasts.

Whenever I crave for something cooling yet refreshing, and im around the area with my family, we would head here for bingsoo. We have tried their signature injeolmi and matcha before. Today, we went a bit more adventurous and got their mango yuzu bingsoo which came with mango, yuzu sauce, ice cream and yuzu bits in the shaved ice. The shaved ice was thin and smooth. They were pretty generous with 🥭 but some were overly sour. Yuzu added a depth of fragrance and tanginess to the dessert but it was not balanced, as we only tasted it near the bottom of the ice. So, I may not pay $19 for this again, but ill defo come back for their traditional injeolmi and matcha signatures.
