Groceries in London.
What locals say
Visited for our weekly shop and got our East Asian groceries and drinks, helpful staff, pricing is ok- can be very busy due to location so would recommend visiting on less busy times
I was impressed again after visiting this wonderful store again on Monday afternoon . Only bought couple of items couldn't carry more had more shopping to do later on the evening for family member. The girl at the counter she's lovely, well mannered, greeted, patient... everything positive I'm sure she served me last time last year. I was going to pay cash but she kindly asked me only card (silly me i forgot!) Manager please give her a bonus! Will visit again when I'm next in London, thank you so much!
I purchased a drink from here and it tasted really good. The cashier staff were very welcoming and polite. However, I had an issue with the security guard in which he accused of us of not planning to purchase an item; and asked us to leave if we were not going to buy something. I find it very abrupt and frustrating that he approached customers and asked them to leave without valid evidence of not planning to make a purchase. However, regardless of this rudeness I still managed to purchase a drink. Very disappointed, I did not enjoy that experience, and I hope the management team provides a way to prevent a situation such as this to occur for future customers. I hope that the management team makes the security privy to the fact that this attitude was very impulsive. Very disappointed.
Having heard positive mentions for some time, I finally stopped by this neighborhood Asian supermarket today. The aisles are admittedly narrow, which can make navigation slightly awkward when the store is busy. However, this minor inconvenience is easily offset by the impressive stock and variety on offer.Prices align closely with other Asian supermarkets in the area, with certain items pleasantly undercutting the competition. The real standout, however, was discovering the trending Korean iced drinks. Despite not typically enjoying grapefruit, I tried the grapefruit variant and it was exceptional: refreshingly balanced, vibrant, and instantly addictive.Verdict: A compact but well-curated store with competitive pricing and a few delightful surprises. The cramped layout is a small trade-off for the quality and value. I’ll certainly be returning especially for that grapefruit drink.
Absolutely unacceptable. I bought Japanese Strawberry KitKats here yesterday, and every single one of them is in a revolting, inedible condition. The chocolate is covered in a white, grainy, bumpy texture that looks like an infestation. It is honestly stomach-turning to open a snack and see this. These are clearly being stored improperly or are way past their prime. For a store to charge a premium for imported goods and sell them in this state is a total joke. I had to spit it out immediately. Do not buy snacks here unless you want to be greeted by something that looks like it’s growing a colony. Completely ruined my appetite and a waste of money. STAY AWAY.
