Simple but tasty banchan, and the meat cuts were fresh. Had the set meal for 2 (beef and pork), and everything was well-prepared. Service was attentive—the staff helped with grilling, which made the experience more enjoyable. Really happy to find a place that serves beef intestines! The space is cosy and comfortable.
Great food and service!! we ordered the beef & pork set, meat were all so tender and succulent. loved the cripsy seafood pancake that was loaded with squid and prawns. service was amazing too. drop by the dessert store next door after your meal - their injeolmi toast and bingsu are a perfect end to the kbbq meal!
Came here for dinner and had a great experience! We ordered the 2-pax set, which was a perfect portion for two. It came with three types of high-quality meat: beef brisket, beef short rib, and black pork belly. Every cut was flavorful and grilled beautifully. The Tofu Jjigae (soft tofu soup) was a standout—really comforting and packed with flavor. We were also very impressed with the banchans (side dishes). Everything tasted authentic, especially their homemade kimchi, which was incredibly fresh and crunchy. To top it off, the service was excellent. The staff were attentive and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you're craving authentic Korean BBQ!
Single handedly converted me to the KBBQ tribe. I've had so many bad experiences with Kbbq that I'd mostly given up on the idea. Well, thats until my girlfriend had something to say about it. And the place she chose was K1988. Food was super tasty, each meat better than the last, with bossam, thin sliced beef, and the LA shortribs. By the time we got to the shortribs, omg the flavor of the marinade was heavenly. Really liked the homemade banchan as well. Just had some of a pack of supermarket kimchi yesterday... this homemade kimchi doesn't exist in the same universe. Fresh and suuuper good. The fishcakes were nice as well. I like the apple salad, while girlfriend like the glass noodles. Must've refilled the kimchi 6-7x, it was so good. The korean server was extremely hospitable as well, love the guy. Not only did he barbeque the items for us generously, he also helped us take a photo and told us we were a cute couple 🥰. He showed us how to do the wrap and recommended that we eat the wrap korean style. (Usually I taste all the items separately, or take it apart after) This time, the guy's gregariously motivated me to stuff an entire wrap in my mouth. Ohmigosh, explosion of flavor. So thats the entire point of it! Part of it is the salad they provided was seasoned exceedingly well. These guys season everything well. Gotta be one of the best Kbbq places in sg, don't care if I'm biased. Many people agree with me as well, if the crowd waiting on a Wednesday night is any indication. Would come again.
My friends recommended this place to me, and although we didn’t order any beef because one of my friends doesn’t eat beef…🙄, the pork dishes turned out to be surprisingly good as well. The pork belly was grilled perfectly — juicy, flavorful, and without any unpleasant porky taste. They only provided coarse salt and doenjang as dipping sauces, which felt a little limited. It would have been even better if they included chopped garlic, pepper, and sesame oil to enhance the flavours further. Their pancake was also delicious, though again, the dipping sauce could definitely be improved. Overall, it was still a good dining experience. 👍
