Sanmaru

The 부대찌개 was really spicy and really good! Came out piping hot which made it more delicious. Although forgot to give the drinks we ordered and took a bit of time and had to remind them again and again.

Great Korean food and awesome service. I do wish more lettuce was served with the bulgogi, but that’s a minor issue. We ordered the beef bulgogi, chicken bi bin bap, and pork soup and enjoyed it all.

I went to this restaurant to eat lunch with 2 colleagues. After taking our orders we have waited half an hour to only get served one dish out of three. After waiting for almost an hour, while my colleague is finished with his meal by now, they still can't manage to serve the remaining dishes. The staff seemd overwhelmed and the kitchen was obviously unprepared. Sadly we had to leave on an empty stomach due to limited break time. As I see countless good reviews from other guests my visit was probably just an exception. Still I would have appreciated it if the staff were honest about the delays.

After a poor experience with bibimbap at a restaurant in the US, Sanmaru is just delightful. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The slides were delightful as was the soup. The menu is in three languages. My wife got the bulgogi which is a sweetened beef and it was very good as well. The kimichi was top notch as well. Service was fast and during this cold winter hot water was served with lemon. Over all this is one of our favorite Korean spots in the city.

Great food! Favorite spot for kimchi jiggae. Sides are really good and great customer service.
