A sauna like no other. Just located near to shibuya station, Saunas is tucked in quiet area of Sakuragicho. A friendly staff will welcome you as you enter and have a leaflet guide in English. You have to put the shoes in a free shoe locker and they will give you a key corresponds to your locker number. There lot of dry sauna and cold bath. I love the scandinavian theme of the saunas in the 3rd floor. There is an open terrace where you can have a breather after a sauna. I had late lunch with hearty buddha meal. It was healthy and great meal after that revigorating sauna. You have to pay after use. I pay around 3500¥ (weekend entrance) for sauna use and 1500¥ for the set meal. Overall, I had a great experience in this sauna. A must visit after a tiring walking in Shibuya.
Shibuya Saunas, located just a short walk from Shibuya Station, offers a unique and relaxing experience for sauna enthusiasts. The facility features nine different sauna rooms, each with its own atmosphere and heat level, catering to both newcomers and seasoned visitors. One of the highlights is the rooftop garden, providing a serene space to unwind between sessions. The interior is modern and stylish, creating a comfortable environment for relaxation. It is so good to the point that I bought tickets to enter this place from Furusato Nozei.
Just steps away from the chaotic, fast-forward crowds of Dogenzaka, Shibuya SAUNAS feels like a sanctuary where time itself warps. While the streets outside move at a frantic pace, the silence inside is thick and still—as if you've been preserved in amber or hidden in the depths of a remote forest. Here, gravity feels different. The variety of saunas allows you to shed the urban noise layer by layer, until only your own breath remains. My only wish was for more lounge chairs. That longing for a place to fully surrender my weight was the only thing that reminded me I still belonged to the world outside. A beautiful, surreal escape from the city’s gravity.
This place is designed beautifully, specially the outdoor area with 3 different dry saunas surrounding it. Absolutely avoid it during the crowded days/hours! Everything is very compact and small, spaces are squeezed together and the hot/warm Jacuzzi (according to the map) was ice cold, and to me it was overpriced, but still worth the one time check out.
Peaceful, relaxing & very clean environment with courteous, helpful staff & good post sauna food / drinks choices. Very good for quick session lasting up to 2.5h for 3200 yen. The saunas are varied with quiet themes, futuristic music themes & are frequently checked & maintained by staff. The cold plunge is really refreshing & can house up to 3 adults of 6 foot. There are 3 levels and one open air lounging area for you to lie down in between sauna. Showers are 4-5 if i recall correctly, fully furnished with free shampoo, conditioner, body wash & post shower powder room for hairdrying, face lotion & general make up. Personal lockers are available for shoes upon entry, followed by a personal wrist tag which serves as your lock for clothing lockers at the sauna rooms. Patrons can go full nude or have a towel for cover. I see everyone comfortable with full glory. Highly recommended!
