Arrived five minutes before they were to open and no one was in the shop preparing. They finally showed up and opened the doors and were very unfriendly. I ordered chicken popcorn, and the mango bowl for my granddaughter and I. They served the mango bowl first which took quite a while. Then 10 minutes later came the popcorn chicken, which was absolutely awful. Some of the chicken pieces (Not even sure if it was chicken meat ) were raw and the taste was so rancid I couldn’t even eat it. I will give them one star because they did refund me. Was not impressed with the shaved ice mango dish. It was tasteless and the mango was not ripe. There’s no air conditioning so they leave the doors wide open for bugs and flies to come in. The staff need to at least put a smile on their face and acknowledge their customers. Worst experience in Danville ever.
A delicious addition to the San Ramon area! I have now been here twice since the open and each time have been pleasantly surprised with just how delicious the food is, and how lovely the ambiance is! The Bingsuu served here is fresh, lightly sweetened, and a real delight, especially on the hot summer days. So far, I’ve had the mango, strawberry, matcha red bean, and chocolate flavors, with my favorite being the mango for how fresh and sweet it was. All dishes come with a small serving of sweetened condensed milk for added creaminess. Note: the portions are huge! (As is traditional of this dessert). I recommend splitting with someone, maybe two people, even for the regular size.
I've been going to Snow Bowl when it was MandRo Teahouse and when it was only one store in Fremont so when my friends invited us for shaved ice I was pleasantly surprised it's a new branch in the Tri Valley area. Nothing more to talk about as it's my favorite place for shaved ice whenever I have a chance in the East Bay. They changed their name which is smart because it's the shaved ice that sets them apart not the tea. Even though it's using Bingsoo (which is Korean shaved ice) I'm fairly certain it's actually Chinese but who cares when it tastes good. The plaza is big but it's right next to the McDonald's if you have a hard time finding it. Seating is somewhat limited and I think for shaved ice it's better to eat there rather than taking it to go. Service is good enough even if it's usually just one person. Tip is optional which is good. You order through a kiosk. My favorite is the matcha or the original milk but mango is popular among kids.
I’ve tried 5 different bingsoos, and injeolmi and matcha are my favorites. The shaved ice is milky, creamy, and delicious, so it’s not watery or icy. My friend group and I frequent this place since it opened a few weeks ago, so it’s safe to say we love hanging out at Snow Bowl!
Being from Hawaii, i love shave ice places. This place is the bomb. Ultra fine shave ice, tons of fresh fruit, add your own condensed milk, mochi cubes. We got the mango and strawberry bingsoo. Both were outstanding. This is my new favorite dessert place in the entire SF Bay Area!
