I had heard good things about this regional Korean skincare store, so I wanted to check out the Johns Creek location. The store itself has a good selection, and I enjoyed browsing. I ended up purchasing a sunscreen. While I was shopping, the associate helping me mentioned there was a 10% discount, and I confirmed this multiple times just to be sure. At checkout, however, the item was rung up at full price. I don’t have an issue paying full price or supporting a local business. In fact, I chose this place specifically because it wasn’t a major online retailer. I also have no issue if the item I selected wasn’t included in the sale or was exempt. My concern was simply the lack of clear communication. When I politely asked about it at the counter, the response felt dismissive. The associate said something along the lines of how the product couldn’t be “70% off or else the store would close,” but I was only asking whether the price should be $17.99 instead of $19.99. It seemed like a simple miscommunication, possibly due to a previous employee misspeaking, but it wasn’t handled very well. At that point, I decided to just cut my losses and pay for the sunscreen, since I won’t be returning. I genuinely wanted to support a local/regional shop, but unclear pricing and an inconvenient retail experience make it frustrating. It’s unfortunate that one final interaction can derail an otherwise good experience.

I visited for the first time a few weeks ago. There is a decent selection of popular brands and the prices are competitive with what I see in other brick and mortar stores. I got a small discount and she even threw in a free mask (cause my purchase was over a certain price?). It was a nice experience overall, thanks~
