Best, the best , Korean bbq in LA… Cali, USA! First time bbq in K town reminded me of the bbq I had in Soowon South Korea- the headquarters of korean bbq. Generous too: 1 order was enough for 2 people, came with a salad, soup and panchan.
It was my second time here. The meat was fresh and high quality, and the pancake had plenty of seafood in it. Try to find street parking nearby to avoid valet parking. Highly recommend!
I've always enjoyed Soowon (or Suwon, a suburb of Seoul) style galbi over regular Korean bbq marinated meat. It's sweeter and much more flavorful. It's also less well known but there are more of Suwon style galbi places even in the Bay Area. But since I'm here in LA, of course I'll look up a Suwon galbi place here in ktown. Due to its name, I decided to come here. This is not my first time here but I really enjoyed this meal. The meat is tender and flavorful. The service is good they they helped grilled the meat perfectly. I wouldn't say the banchan is bad or exceptional. I did like the small plate of Galbi Jjim but unfortunately they didn't refill it. The parking is annoying as you have to valet it but it's probably a necessity due to how small the parking lot is. I highly recommend the marinated galbi as almost everything else you can have at any other Korean bbq restaurant.
Excellent banchan. I refilled four times. Best kimchi I've ever had. Galbi is superb. Bulgogin is excellent. Angus short rib is superb. Spicy pork is OK. Chicken is surprisingly very good. $140 combo will for sure feed four. They say it's for two but you have to be truly oinkers to eat that much meat. And I am far from vegetarian.
Wow! I had an amazing experience, especially our server who grilled our kalbi for us. He basically did a table side show and grilled our kalbi to perfection 🕺✨ very impressed. We honestly ordered too much and they kindly let us know. The portions are very generous…
