Korean food is always my top choice, and this place totally hits the spot — even without going all the way to K-Town! The food here is delicious, portions are generous, prices are fair, and service is impressively quick. Now let’s talk about the seafood pancake. Wow. It’s thick, packed with seafood, and ridiculously satisfying. Basically, it’s not just a pancake — it’s a full-on meal with a crunchy mission. Highly recommend! Bonus points for plenty of free street parking nearby — a true luxury in this city.

Been for many meals at Sumi Korean Restaurant. They only take weekday reservations. Only one banchan refill is on the house ($1.50 after). - Banchan - kimchi, glazed potatoes, seaweed salad and pickled radish & onions. All solid - Gamjatang ($18.95) - good depth and flavour - Soontofu jjeegae ($17.95) - touch bland - Dolsot bibimbap ($18.95) - rice wasn’t crispy at the bottom, but still satisfying - Teokbokki ($23.95) - okay but overpriced - Jjajangmyeon ($15.95) - unmemorable - LA galbi ($35.95) - short beef ribs were excellent. Tasty sticky sauce - Ddookbaegi bulgogi ($20.95) - comforting - Dakbulgogi dupbap ($19.95) - Pork goonmandu ($13.95) - Spicy dak bulgogi ($28.95) - chicken was better than the pork - Bibim-nangmyun ($18.95) - seasonal - Haemul-pajeon ($28.95) - solid - Japchae ($27.95) - not worth the price - Spicy daeji bulgogi ($28.95) - pork was bland - Soy honey garlic ($31.95) - not a true KFC but liked the tteokboki. Also tried the sweet spicy - Kimchi bokeum-bab ($16.95) - good flavour - Bulgogi dupbop ($20.95) - mostly cabbage - Jjimdak ($59.95) - chicken was tender, not enough tteokbokis even adding extra ($5.00)

Very tasty Korean food! Had the M16 and with a little bit of spice and it was delicious. For me personally, the small bowl of rice was too small and I’d like to see some more rice alongside the chicken and vegetables but I made do. Service was very good and always felt like we were being taken care of. Would definitely come back and looking forward to it!

Good Korean spot known for their soups. Their side dishes are very well done and I am tempted to get myself some of their take home kimchi. Their soups and stews are well made, the bone soup is a little more bland, but jjeegae is well made. I really enjoyed their sides and they refilled them constantly for us. If you’re a soup or stew fan, this is a good spot to try.

Our go to Korean spot, as it is literally down the street from our place. Food and service are also amazing, so that's why we come back often. The food was really good each and every time we came by for dinner. Flavors were bold and punchy, which our family likes. Portion sizes were fair to generous, so be prepared to eat alot. The fried chicken in soy flavor is our favorite dish. Chicken pieces were cut to proper sizes and tender. We also ordered the crispy pork belly and that was also top notch (we just wished the portions were a little bigger on this dish) My brother got the Gamjatang soup and he said the meat was very tender and soup base was flavorful. While I got the Soontofu Jeegae (soft tofu soup) and it always hits the spot. I don't really eat spicy, so I asked the waitress to make it a little more mild for me) We came by for dinner on a Saturday evening and the place was packed. Even then, we only waited about 5 mins to be seated. Service was quick and efficient, even though they seemed to be a little under staffed. Overall, this place serves authentic Korean food that can be enjoyed individually or as a group.
