Tå Bom Korean Cuisine

I was disappointed with the BBQ set here. We chose two beef options and the soy sauce pork; while the pork was acceptable, the beef quality was poor. They served thin, frozen slices better suited for hot pot than a BBQ grill. Because the meat was so thin and previously frozen, it became incredibly dry and lacked any real flavor after grilling. If you visit, stick to the pork, but I'd suggest avoiding the beef entirely.

The food was sublime! It was delicious and just as good as anything I had in Korea. The server did a great job despite working alone. She seemed stressed but still tried to serve our group well. She finally admitted that they were short-staffed and that seemed to break the ice. Overall, everything was great! I would definitely return the next time I’m in Vancouver.

Absolutely loved the food at Ta Bom Korean Cuisine! The dishes were flavorful, authentic, and served fresh and hot. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere felt cozy and welcoming. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for comforting Korean food.

The combo set was the perfect portion for 3–4 people. Everything tasted great, and the yogurt soju is definitely a must-order with the set. Extra points for the adorable heart-shaped fried rice the waiter made for us after frying it, such a cute touch.

This restaurant was a disappointment. We ordered the $120 set menu, but the portions were surprisingly small. The sides were enough for only one person, and the soup included in the set could barely serve two. The chicken dish tasted good, but the portion size was maybe enough for three people at most — definitely not what you’d expect for the price. What made the experience worse was the rice situation. When our food arrived, no rice was served. We asked for it, only to be told they were out of rice and still cooking more. At a Korean restaurant, that’s hard to understand. When rice finally came, they brought just two small bowls for eight people, and we had to ask again. There was also an extra charge to turn leftover meat into fried rice — something other Korean restaurants usually do for free — so we ended up doing it ourselves. On top of that, the blonde short‑haired server abruptly turned off our stove without saying a word and didn’t smile or engage the entire time. Overall, the service felt cold and inattentive. For the price, there are much better options on Robson. You’ll get more value (and better service) at an all‑you‑can‑eat spot than here.
