As a local born and raised resident, I've been riding and driving by Water Lounge for years and kept wanting to go in. I travel in Asia a lot and come back yearning for the hot spring spas. Today I finally jumped in and bought a package deal too. This is as close as it gets in the bay area to some of the good Asian spas I've been to. It's clean. It's friendly. It's in a former bank, so there is a good lucky feeling. Go here and you will have lots of money and luck! The therapist I had was Karen and she was very experienced and attentive and friendly. The hot tub is great. It's clean. Water is not too chlorinated and the shower is huge.

Couples session- hot tub and massage. They accommodated us when we had travel delays. My husband and I were able to shower and unwind in the hot tub. All before our hour massage. Very serene and relaxing odors and sounds. Recommending to all my friends.

The front desk lady was not pleasant. I tipped $50 (~20%) for a couples massage, and she complained saying I needed to pay more. She made a big scene pointing at the sign saying I had to tip $30 a person (yet sign even says 15% is appropriate in the small print, and we had tipped 20%). It felt very unprofessional and awkward, and when I gave her another $20 she did not even thank me. I should have asked for my $50 back instead of giving more and left as we are never going back anyway. I have no idea how this company expects to keep customers with this kind of attitude.

I visited Water Lounge Spa for the first time and already know I’ll be coming back for more. I booked the full combo—30min private spa, 1hr deep tissue massage, & a 1hr facial— & the entire experience was exactly what I needed. Not a long wait, although I had an apt. Many people in line ahead of me were purchasing large service packages so clearly, they’re doing things right here. While it’s not the most high-end location, the space is cozy, clean, & creates a genuinely relaxing ambiance. The private spa was such a peaceful moment to unwind, & the shower area was spotless with quality products provided. Alice gave me one of the best deep tissue massages I’ve ever had—no wonder she’s in high demand. I walked out feeling completely refreshed. Cindy handled my facial, & it was incredibly calming and thorough. Both were professional, kind, & skilled at what they do. Overall, a very pleasant & restorative experience. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place to relax, reset, & take care of yourself. I’ll definitely be back!

Went on Valentine's day and I was disappointed. I reserved a swedish massage and 30 min hot tub and can say the hot tub was the best part of the reservation. The woman who gave me my massage was too rough despite me telling her twice to go lighter. It felt like she was trying to hurt me the way she was grabbing my neck and using her elbow on my low back. I'm swollen on my shoulders and neck area which is unusual for me after receiving a massage. Definitely won't go back for a massage here but at least the private hot tubs was relaxing.
