Disappointing service, bland food, and poor overall management I visited for lunch and ordered the ssambap, and honestly, the experience was very disappointing. Throughout the entire 30-min meal, no server checked on our table even once. The staff seemed more focused on chatting with each other than paying attention to guests. When we tried to ask for the bill, the servers were nowhere to be found, and we had to wait an unreasonably long time just to pay. It felt careless and poorly managed. The food was equally underwhelming. For a ssambap dish, everything was surprisingly bland. The spicy pork was overly watery, which ruined the texture. I understand vegetables release moisture, but for a dish meant to be wrapped and eaten as ssam, this showed a lack of proper execution. The stew was weak in flavour, overly diluted, and tasted like it hadn’t been properly reduced. At that point, a simple miso soup would honestly have been better. We also ordered the happy hour chicken, and it was by far the worst fried chicken I’ve had in Vancouver. The batter was far too thick, the chicken was tough, and the overall quality was so poor that I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. If this is the standard, it might genuinely be better to remove this item from the menu. The menu is only available via QR code, forcing customers to view it on their phones. Not offering physical menus feels unwelcoming and inconvenient for a dine-in restaurant, and it gives the impression that even basic customer service is being cut. This was not my first visit, and unfortunately, the same issues were present before. With a two-floor layout, the lack of organization and management is even more noticeable. Service feels inattentive and disorganized, and the overall experience feels neglected. I wanted to enjoy this place, but the service, food quality, and overall management were all deeply disappointing. Sadly, I don’t see any reason to return.

I enjoyed their dine out menu, esp the mushroom salad and the matcha cheesecake!! I got the lingcod for my main and it was v soft and filling. My friend got the steak (she said it was one of the best she’d had). After Zoomak, Korean might’ve entered my go-to top 7 cuisine list👀

One of the best Korean spots in town! Their seafood pancake is hands down my favorite — super crispy on the outside, loaded with seafood, and just so tasty. The Makgeolli Jogae Jjim is a must-try too. If you’re into clams, you’ll love this one! Also, don’t skip the Spicy Seafood Stew — rich soup base, big portions, and perfect for sharing. Overall, a great place to chill and eat good food with friends or family.

Really enjoyed our food! Seafood pancake is huge with crispy crust and a lot chives! Seafood stew is flavourful with a reasonable level of spiciness. Pork belly wrap is average.

I had the hwedupbap (Korean sashimi rice bowl), and it was honestly the best I’ve had in Vancouver. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors were perfectly balanced, and the sauce was especially delicious. My friend ordered the white seafood jjamppong, and the broth was incredibly rich and flavorful. You could really taste the depth and quality of the soup. The food was satisfying, authentic, and well prepared. We both really enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back again. Highly recommended!
